Tokaj Wine Congress

TOKAJ WINE CONGRESS

University of Tokaj in Sárospatak organizes the first international Tokaj Wine Congress on Sustainable Viticulture and Oenology on 13-16^th of November 2022. The gap-filling professional forum is aimed for academics, researchers, winemakers, all participants of wine business, educators, teachers, marketing and tourism professionals and university and college students to discuss the future of wine production, conservation of the cultural heritage of wine, wine tourism, and all levels of wine education. The Congress will be arranged in the World Heritage Wine Region of Tokaj at the University of Tokaj in the historic town of Sárospatak. The basic idea of the Congress is to pass on knowledge to professionals that is up-to-date, useful, and easy to put into practice from an international and holistic perspective. University of Tokaj would like to strengthen its international position by inviting lectures by top scientists, researchers and practicing professionals, worldwide known viticulturists and winemakers.

PLENARY SESSION

The aim of this session to introduce the key objectives of the Congress with particular emphasis on system approaches and synergies between the scientific fields of wine science such as oenology, wine business, wine tourism, multifunctional agriculture, and even the relevant areas of heritage science and landscape conservation.
